The Parish of the Holy Cross gives you options to bury your loved ones on local Catholic hallowed ground. We have 2 cemeteries where graves may be purchased. Please scroll down to check out our cemeteries and to obtain useful information regarding burials and the purchasing of graves. When someone passes, we recommend that the next of kin contact a funeral home and let them know the family of the deceased wants a Catholic burial. The funeral home, in turn, notifies the parish and the religious funeral arrangements can begin. Each cemetery has its own prices, so, we are providing a rate sheet below for your reference (you may click on the link below to view). St. Mary (Bridgeton) The oldest of the parish cemeteries. The origins of this cemetery go back to the 1870's when the first burials were recorded on its grounds. The cemetery got its name from when Immaculate Conception parish was known as St. Mary. Once the parish changed its name to Immaculate Conception, the cemetery kept the old name. To this day, burials are still being recorded here. However, we wish to remind you that there are NO new graves available for purchase at St. Mary's Cemetery in Bridgeton at this time. Cemetery hours are from dawn to dusk. We ask that you please keep the cemetery clean at all times and to dispose of your trash or refuse in the trash bins provided in the cemetery. |
Santa María (Bridgeton) El más antiguo de los cementerios parroquiales. Los orígenes de este cementerio se remontan a la década de 1870 cuando se registraron los primeros entierros en sus terrenos. El cementerio debe su nombre a cuando la parroquia de la Inmaculada Concepción era conocida como Santa María. Una vez que la parroquia cambió su nombre a Inmaculada Concepción, el cementerio mantuvo el antiguo nombre. Hasta el día de hoy se siguen registrando entierros aquí. Sin embargo, deseamos recordarle que NO hay lotes nuevos disponibles para su compra en el cementerio de Santa María en Bridgeton en este momento. El horario del cementerio es desde el amanecer hasta el anochecer. St. Mary (Rosenhayn) The second oldest of the parish cemeteries. The cemetery recorded its first burial in 1908. Despite the fact that at the time of the first burial, the parish was known as St. James, the cemetery was named St. Mary's which later gave the parish its name. To this day, burials are still being recorded here. The cemetery is divided into two (2) sections: the "old" section and the "new" section. We inform you that there are NO new graves available for purchase in the "old" section at this time. However, we have new graves available for purchase in the "new" section and an individual grave is $1,000 each. If you are interested in purchasing graves in this cemetery, you may call the parish office at (856) 455-2323, Monday - Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM. Cemetery hours are from dawn to dusk. We ask that you please keep the cemetery clean at all times and to dispose of your trash or refuse in the trash bins provided in the cemetery. Santa María (Rosenhayn) El segundo más antiguo de los cementerios parroquiales. El cementerio registró su primer entierro en 1908. A pesar de que en el momento del primer entierro, la parroquia se conocía como Santiago Apóstol, al cementerio se le puso el nombre de Santa María, que más tarde le dio su nombre a la parroquia. Hasta el día de hoy se siguen registrando entierros aquí. El cementerio está dividido en dos (2) secciones: la sección "antigua" y la sección "nueva". Le informamos que NO hay lotes nuevos disponibles para su compra en la sección "antigua" en este momento. Sin embargo, tenemos lotes nuevos disponibles para su compra en la sección "nueva" y un lote individual cuesta $1,000 cada uno. Holy Cross at Laurel Lawn Cemetery This is the newest of the parish cemeteries as well as the smallest one. The Holy Cross section at Laurel Lawn Cemetery is considered to be the Catholic section of the cemetery, hence its smaller size. The cemetery section was acquired in 2009 before the parish was formed. At this time, there are NO graves available for purchase. Cemetery hours are from dawn to dusk. We ask that you please keep the cemetery clean at all times and to dispose of your trash or refuse in the trash bins provided in the cemetery. La Santa Cruz en el Cementerio Laurel Lawn Este es el más nuevo de los cementerios parroquiales y también el más pequeño. La sección de la Santa Cruz en el cementerio Laurel Lawn se considera la sección católica del cementerio, de ahí su tamaño más pequeño.
